A Settings Assessment was carried out using Cadw guidelines (2017) to determine the impact of a proposed development on the setting of Womaston Castle Mound, a Scheduled Ancient Monument (RD118) located within a school complex at Watery Lane, Womaston, near Presteigne. Archaeology Wales excavated the remains of an early medieval cemetery at Llangefni, Anglesey.
