Rowena joined Archaeology Wales in 2015 as a Project Manager before becoming Regional Director in 2017 and taking up her current role in 2020. She is responsible for tendering, managing the Project Managers and site and post-excavation teams as well as ensuring report quality.
Rowena works with the senior management team to deliver innovative and cost-effective archaeological mitigation to the company’s clients.
Rowena has extensive field archaeological experience in the UK and overseas and has also worked as an academic researcher. She previously worked as a Project Manager at the Glamorgan Gwent Archaeological Trust.
Rowena is a full member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologist, Treasurer of CIFAs Finds Group Committee and member of the Advisory Council.
