Oldfield Farm, Four Crosses, Powys

An evaluation comprising the excavation within eleven machine-cut trenches was carried out at land adjacent to Oldfield Farm, Four Crosses, Llanymynech, during poor weather in December 2017. Positioned according to the results of an earlier geophysical survey of the site, the trenches revealed Romano-British activity, including a cremation burial, and a medieval trackway possibly associated with Offa’s Dyke.
