BA (Hons), Finance and Personnel Director
Jill has been co-director of Archaeology Wales since the company’s inception in 2010. She has ultimate responsibility for both finance and personnel. She has actively implemented positive discrimination with the aim of having more women in senior roles within the organisation. She believes it is important for Archaeology Wales to have an ethos that promotes fairness, transparency and approachability and to all be a part of the same team, working towards a common aim.
Jill completed her combined honours degree in English & Fine Art in Canterbury. She subsequently went on to undertake post-graduate studies in European Business and IT.
Having worked as a manager over a period of years she went on to work in the voluntary sector in three different organisations, all of which served the local communities: Urban Studies, Canterbury Archaeological Trust, and Parenting and Family support. These helped to develop and hone her personnel skills and abilities.
Jill’s personal interests are extensive. Apart from art, photography & music she loves animals and was gifted as a sponsor for a goat.
