Irma Bernardus

Archivist and Illustrator

Irma has been with Archaeology Wales since it was founded in 2010. In addition to giving considerable support to the administration team, she is responsible for the completion and archiving of all projects, liaising closely with Project Managers, local archive centres, OASIS and the RCAHMW. She is also an illustrator and as such produces many of the plans, sections and other drawings that appear in the company’s final reports.

Irma was born and educated in the Netherlands and her interest in archaeology developed while working on a retreat in mid Wales. She is keen walker and enjoys nothing more than exploring the countryside around her home in the Welsh Borders.
